Police arrest CUF executive of Z'bar
Zanzibar Police Force linamshikilia Acting Director of Information, Publicity and Communication, of the Association of Men (CUF), Hamad Masoud Hamad, on charges of seditious statement towards the choice of destination, on March 20 this year.
Regional Police Commander Urban West, Khamis Kadam Kadam yesterday confirmed the detention of the leader for the interview.
He said it was due to statements he made at a recent Pemba.
"Yes we have arrested at dawn today (yesterday) and we interview from his statements and what is going on right now of bombings various parts.
"We have decided to follow her home at dawn because for three days we had searched for is unavailable," said Commander Kadam.
He said the police force several people holding them for questioning.
Asked the number of people holding them said it was large and daily increasing.
However, Commander Kadam, failed to explain the purported statement given by the leader of the CUF, which is inflammatory.
